Foreign language strategy expert based in Asia.

My two semi-related streams of expertise are 1) translation technology and 2) foreign language acquisition (effective study habits for individuals or corporate teams). I'm on Superpeer primarily for the latter. I'm not a language teacher, but more like a coach: I love helping people and teams design their optimal strategy for learning a foreign language. Despite speaking only English until the age of 18, my study of psycholinguistics led me to learn Spanish, French, Mandarin, Korean, Indonesian, and ASL to advanced levels (I have recently passed the HSK6) as well as reaching basic proficiency in Russian, Ukrainian, Malay, Cantonese, Vietnamese, and Mongolian. I work with expatriates, foreign service officers, and corporate professionals to design language learning strategies built around personal or professional goals.
