Sandra Shpilberg is an entrepreneur and the author of the bestselling and award-winning book New Startup Mindset: 10 Mindset Shifts to Build the Company of Your Dreams. She’s currently building her second startup, Adnexi, a disease intelligence platform for patients and their caregivers. She’s speaks globally on building companies that make an impact. The book New Startup Mindset is based on her experience starting, building and then exiting Seeker Health, a digital patient finding platform to accelerate the development of treatments for patients who really need them. Since starting the company in 2015, Shpilberg developed a breakthrough software product, filed a US patent, and built a team which served 60+ biopharmaceutical companies. In September 2018, EVERSANA, the leading independent provider of global services to the life science industry, acquired Seeker Health. The book New Startup Mindset is the winner of the 2020 International Book Award for the category of Entrepreneurship. Prior to this successful entrepreneurial pursuit, Shpilberg held executive roles at biopharmaceutical companies. She served as Vice President of Commercial Development and Strategic Marketing for Nora Therapeutics, and as Executive Director at BioMarin Pharmaceutical where she led the commercial launches of NAGLAZYME and KUVAN, and advanced PALINZIQ from Phase 2 to Phase 3. Ms. Shpilberg’s innovative spirit is captured in the book A Rare Breed, about BioMarin’s history. Medical Marketing & Media named her a Top 40 Healthcare Transformer, and she was a featured speaker at 2018 SXSW. She’s originally from Uruguay, speaks fluent Spanish, and brings a global approach to her work and impact. She holds an MBA in Marketing and Entrepreneurial Management from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. She’s a diversified investor, currently focused on investing in startups and real estate.
