Designer, illustrator and art director
[IMPORTANT] I have temporarily PAUSED my services until further notice. If you have any questions, or if you'd like me to keep you posted when I resume the calls, please e-mail me and I'll do my best to reply ASAP :-) ---- Hi! My name is Rachel Denti, and I am a multidisciplinary designer with a love for storytelling and concepting. I was born in Brazil, where I grew up watching anime and spending too much time on the internet, which made me realize I loved drawing and playing around with graphic software. I graduated in Graphic Design at the University of Brasilia (UnB), and during my major I spent a year in The Hague, at KABK, studying Fine Arts. During my last years at school and for my first few years after graduating, I worked as a freelance designer for clients all around the world. In 2017, I moved to NYC to join the team at Sagmeister & Walsh — which later became &Walsh — where I had the humbling experience to work alongside Jessica Walsh and an impressive amount of crazy talented people of all expertise. Throughout the 4 years I was there, I worked across several different creative areas such as illustration, art direction, branding, copywriting, commercials and much more. In early 2021 I took an opportunity to work as a Graphic Designer at Nike, and moved across the country all the way to Portland, OR, where I currently reside with my chonky cat Rambo. My approach to design is to never look at anything on its own, and understand projects — big or small — as a collaboration of diverse practices in order to tell a story. I strongly believe that the more we know, the more we're able to contribute to the work we make, and that the process might sometimes be more important for a project than the result itself. With that perspective in mind, I can offer you advice on topics such: - Portfolio or project review - Body of work/Personal branding - Freelancing tips and tricks - Career development - Working abroad Languages: English & Portuguese I'm open to helping students, young professionals, and even experienced professionals who might want a fresh perspective on their practice. I'm especially interested in working with folks such as women-identifying, LGBTQ+, BIPOC and/or immigrant creatives and helping them enter these spaces where they're still underrepresented. If you identify as someone from the above mentioned group and feel you can't afford the current mentorship services fee, please book a free intro and we can discuss a rate that works for you and your current situation, OR e-mail/message me.* *PLEASE be considerate of my time and effort invested in these sessions - I choose to assume best intentions and honesty from anyone that reaches out, so make sure that you resonate with that. instagram.com/racheldenti racheldenti.com
