Rhinnan Kith on Superpeer
Creative Director, Design Director
Although I have known since the age of 6 that I wanted to be a designer, I had a less straight-foward journey getting there and a less conventional career path once I had. It's given me unique experiences, different challenges, and a fresh perspective on our industry. After obtaining degrees in Art History and Folklore from an Ivy League school, I worked on the account side in advertising in New York before moving onto producing books for a global publishing house. When I graduated with a degree in graphic design from Art Center College of Design in the middle of a recession that saw two job offers disappear, I began my career jumping straight into the frying pan as a freelancer before the gig economy was a thing. Since then I have freelanced, contracted, and worked in full time roles for both agencies and companies ranging from local and national startups to global businesses. This has given me the opportunity to work across a wide spectrum of design and creative media and platforms in providing solutions for brand awareness and expression. After over 18 years (and counting!) as a creative, I've learned some things—and I love sharing them through mentoring others. www.getgravy.com
