Career Coach & Account Executive: Mid-Market @ Slack
I am currently a Mid-Market Account Executive at Slack Technologies out of Slack's Toronto office, and loving every moment of being a part of an extremely transformative company which is changing and evolving constantly. Mentorship and coaching has been critical to my development as a sales professional. One of the first things I did when I joined the Slack team was apply for a mentorship for myself to be paired with a Large Enterprise Account Executive - which was an invaluable experience meeting with him every other week, especially as I was onboarding remotely, trying to hit the ground running and setting my sights on where I hope to progress to in my career the coming years. Before Slack, I started my career, after graduating Queen's University, as a BDR and employee #18 at then small Toronto start up LookBookHQ (now PathFactory). I regularly refer to this 4 year experience at PF as my own version of an MBA, learning so much growing with the company to it's peak at 150 global employees (pre-covid). I credit a lot of the success I saw then and have now to the mentors and coaches who believed in me, supported my growth, and provided seasoned advice and guidance consistently. Starting my career as a BDR fresh out of University was the best decision I could have made, but being an SDR/BDR isn't without its challenges and requires an immense amount of grit, patience and focus to progress to the next level. I love to meet with people early in their career to provide advice on how to reach your goals and love the journey while doing it. Looking forward to meeting you!
