I've been working in data science for about 7 years now. First in a big insurance corporation, and then in a fintech startup, where I currently lead a small data science team. I transitioned to data science late in my life. I went back to school when I was 30 to study statistics and actuarial science, which allowed me to get my 1st internship working with data. I also later completed an MBA to improve my understanding of business operations. I'm a big believer in individual destiny and our power to steer our own ship.
