Donna Miles on Superpeer
I teach you how to create a lifestyle that organically repels violence or crime
In the summer of 2008, I survived an incident that is at the top of many people's "worst nightmare" list - a violent home invasion. I didn't just survive it though, I and my then husband prevailed against the stranger who was armed with a gun, knife, baseball bat, and backpack full of binding materials. Instead of going down as he expected and despite our lack of training or self defense tools, we fought back. I could go so far as to say I have thrived as a result of that middle of the night attack. I now have 13 years of high-level training in personal safety, risk management, and self defense. I trained at some of the most esteemed schools in the Executive Protection industry, I have thousands of hours of defensive and tactical handgun training, and hundreds of hours of hand-to-hand defensive tactics training alongside defensive tactics police instructors. I might actually have thousands of hours there as well, after eight years living with my Master Defensive Tactics, police officer husband who loves to sneak up behind me with a training knife and yell, "what would you do?!" on a regular basis. (Book a 1:1 video call with me and you might just get to see that play out with your own eyes! He will also be a regular guest teacher, along with other AMAZING professionals in various security/risk mitigation fields.) At this point, I feel confident saying, I am as well equipped to respond to stop an active, violent threat against me, as most active duty police officers are - but - I know there are simple habits, mindsets and beliefs I can practice to prevent and avoid ever encountering violence or crime for the rest of my lifetime. Simple things I could have done to prevent the home invasion from happening in the first place. Simple things I can do to manage my risk of harm from ANY kind of threat, now and even as I continue to age. I've been developing and also sharing the Hard Target Living curriculum with individuals of all ages, genders, and walks of life for almost five years; I want to share it with the world and superpeer now makes that possible. We were not created to embrace, or nurture our own willingness to be violent as our first or best option to deal with violence or crime. Spend as little as 30 minutes with me and I will change the course of your life for the safer, better, and fuller.
