Dave Hiro on Superpeer

Product & Experience Design Mentor

👋 Hi, I'm David Hirotsu! I've had many different roles over the past 10 years. My career started in print and visual design, and then transitioned into product design / UX in 2014. Since then I've gone from being an IC to a team manager, and back again. I am very grateful for the experiences I've had over my career. As a hands-on Product Designer, I've led design on a variety of products including VR / AR, games, e-commerce and B2B tools. My work has been awarded an AWWWARDS Site of the Day award, a Clio award, and have four pending patents. I was previously a Design Director at a 100 person start-up where I learned invaluable first hand from building up a design team and culture. In doing so I read hundreds of résumés, interviewed several dozens of candidates, and mentored many designers on both the visual and UX side of things before deciding that after-all, I love being a hands-on product designer. I can help you navigate your design career, review your work, and give presentation feedback. I believe the information I can share will help you feel more confident in your work, highlight your individual strengths, and get you noticed in an increasingly competitive career when getting started.
