Modern Technique or Improvisation

Hello, I’m Daisy! I have a deep passion for teaching. As dancers, even as professionals, we are constantly growing and learning. We’re always students and this is the greatest gift. For me, Dancing requires problem solving. I’m continually trying to make the seemingly impossible feel possible. As a professional dancer, I strive for versatility while allowing my personality to reveal itself in my dancing. After all, dancing is communicating with the body. Therefore, we want to be clear with what we’re trying to say. I believe that the fewer idiosyncrasies we have, the more freedom and choices we have to communicate what we’d like to as dancers. As a teacher, it is my duty to relay the tools I use every day as a professional dancer. My goal is to deepen my students’ understanding of movement and allow them to find greater confidence in their instruments. I focus on using cues and imagery in order to help students achieve their goals. I have a ballet background and extensive training in modern technique and improvisation. I earned my BFA from The Juilliard School in 2017 and have been dancing with LA Dance Project ever since. I look forward to seeing you in class. I will be offering classes to every level/age of dancer.
