Diversity and Inclusion Specialist
“Are there practices in my workplace that encourage inequities?” “What’s wrong with asking Black employees to take on diversity and inclusion work?” “How can I be a better manager for people who don’t look like me?” Racial equity has made its way to the forefront, and leaders are taking a closer look at the experiences of Black employees and other communities of color. I’m a confidant to leaders who believe in racial equity, want to expand their understanding of the challenges that Black employees are up against, and seek to create a culture in which everyone can thrive. I listen, ask questions, and offer insight and honest feedback to help advance racial equity--all in a trusted and safe space. Over my fifteen years of experience working to create inclusive work environments, I’ve facilitated countless discussions on inclusion, launched and led employee resource groups, served on diversity and inclusion committees, and have seen first hand, what works and what doesn’t. If you lead an organization or a team and want your words, actions, and decisions to advance racial equity, book some time with me. We’ll talk through issues and I’ll offer a perspective to expand your thinking and help you create a more inclusive environment. BA. Hampton University | M.P.S.
