Software Engineering Manager

Hey! I'm an engineering manager, software engineer, writer, and podcaster. I blog, host a podcast, send a newsletter, and mentor/coach people to share whatever I learn. I work towards creating great and high-performing systems and teams whose members work in sync, have good communication, share common principles, and are aligned on the same goal. I've worked (and still working) with a lot of multicultural teams. I helped build high-performing teams and hired the best people suitable for the job. I believe that teaching is the best way to grow. I helped many people to become better in both engineering and soft skills. I share my experiences and learnings on my blog, in my newsletter, on Twitter @candosten, and here on Superpeer. You can ask me your questions on one of the following topics: - Career development in software engineering - Growing your software engineer skills - Communicating with your team - Remote work and written communication - Giving and receiving feedback - Improving your soft skills - Planning your career - Preparing your CV - Moving to another country and living as an ex-pat - Problems at work and how to approach them - Increasing your productivity - Cultural differences at work - Writing technical or non-technical texts Book a call, and then we can work together to solve your problems. I can give you constructive feedback, and we can build solutions with you. I will try my best to answer your questions. Again, ask me anything. There is no stupid question. How did I learn all these? I have worked in different international companies and projects, including big and small iOS and back-end apps. I've worked with a lot of multicultural teams both on-site and remotely. I helped to build high-performing teams and hire the best people suitable for the job. I held many job interviews. I am also currently leading two different teams and managing organization-wide initiatives. I spent countless hours reading, listening, watching, and doing. I succeeded, and I failed. I know how it feels for both. You can watch previous live streams that I have done, listen to my podcast episodes, read my newsletter or blog article, or just book a call here on Superpeer for some 1:1 time.
