Aaron Ong on Superpeer
Mechanical Designer at Tesla - Thermal Systems, ex-rocket engineer Blue Origin
I am a design engineer, with experience designing parts for rockets and cars. My background is in experimental robotics, where I built bio-inspired robots and published the work in five papers. I chose to forego PhD and instead completed my Master’s at UC Berkeley working on UX/UI design solutions to make your rideshares less awkward. Upon graduating I completed the rotation program at Blue Origin, working on vehicle development for New Glenn and New Shepard. Shortly after a year, I returned to Tesla and currently on the Thermal Systems team, where I work with innovative engineers who designed the highly acclaimed SuperBottle and SuperManifold. I love digging deep into the details of hardware design, breaking things open, and figuring out how to put it all back together! I will work to help guide you through the process of landing roles in the industry that you envision for yourself. I demonstrated proven and effective coaching to help drive my mentees land internship and full time roles at the following: Intern and Full time at Lucid Motors Intern at Rivian Full time at Tesla Intern at Tesla And many more!
