Helping K-Pop fans talk to their biases since 2020
I know what you're thinking: "An American teaching Korean? No way." Wait! Before you go, allow me to explain myself and my learning journey. I fell in love with Korean in 2015 and have since self-studied and attended formal classes all the way up to fluency. My unique experience as a K-Pop fan and first-time language learner meant I had plenty of content to watch and listen to but no idea how to use it to my advantage. For the next 8 years, I studied relentlessly and discovered how to utilize various resources to get the most benefit for my language learning. By the time 2022 came around, I had plenty of first-hand experience, but I wanted to explore the theory of it all, so I started studying for a certificate in language coaching. What is language coaching, you ask? Language coaching means I help you become an independent learner. No more feeling lost without a teacher, no more losing motivation, no more drowning in fear of the sheer intensity of learning a new language. As your language coach, I will help you become the best learner you can be and rise to your full potential. I chose to pursue this profession because I realized that my younger self needed exactly this kind of guidance and support. My dream is to help people like my younger self feel confident, resourceful, and excited to find their own best way of learning languages so that they can achieve their goals faster and in the most enjoyable way for them.
